What is the Verizon iPhone release date?

UPDATE: Verizon Wireless and Apple will launch the CDMA iPhone 4 on February 10, 2011 at 7:00AM EST in stores. The Verizon iPhone can be ordered online starting on February 9, 2011 at 3:01AM EST.

An increasing number of reports in mainstream media have cited sources expecting a Verizon Wireless iPhone launch sometime in the first half of 2011. Recent evidence points to an iPhone 4 specifically tailored to the Verizon Wireless CDMA network launching in the first quarter of 2011.

Apple's exclusive deal with AT&T Mobility to carry the iPhone in the US is said to expire in months, if it hasn't already. Verizon recently began selling iPads along with its MiFi 2200 mobile hotspot.
