Looking for more Lightning to USB options for your iPhone 5? Griffin has announced it will be the first to hit the market with official third-party Lightning cables for Apple devices. All of the options are designed to prevent tangles and kinks in the cord.
All of Griffin's cables will be fully compatible with the iPhone 5, iPad mini, 4th generation iPad, iPod touch 5G and iPod nano 7G. The products were announced in a press release and will be available starting the first week of December.
Griffin's Lightning cable offerings include a 4-foot coiled USB to Lightning cable ($24.99) which is designed to save space and eliminate the risk of tangling. The coiled look has the appearance of a corded office phone, and provides greater flexibility. There is also a 3-meter USB to Lightning cable ($29.99) which clocks almost 10 feet. With a durable cable jacket, this long cord will extend your charging and syncing capabilities far beyond the stock Lightning cable.
Two other cables are more typical USB to Lightning cords, with a 2-foot ($16.99) and 3-foot ($18.99) length available. Besides offering more options than Apple's stock white cable ($19.00) the Griffin accessories come in black.
Several unofficial Lightning connectors have been available for some time, including an illuminated Lightning cable and several other inexpensive Lightning options that save almost $10 over Apple's pricing.
