Keyboard tweaks designed for jailbroken iOS devices can increase efficiency and make typing on the virtual keyboard easier. Examples such as The Quick Brown Fox, AltKeyboard and SwipeSelection all have their own unique enhancements to the iOS keyboard. Now PredictiveKeyboard adds a popular Android keyboard feature to the list.
Once installed, the tweak adds a fifth row of keys to the pop-up virtual keyboard in all iOS applications. These keys adapt to predict words, which can be entered with one tap just like any other key. The best part about PredictiveKeyboard is that the tweak will learn new words and suggest the most commonly used words to speed up typing on your device.
The developer has also stated a commitment to privacy, claiming the tweak will not learn passwords and that no private information is collected or sent by the keyboard. Luckily the tweak is fully compatible with other keyboard enhancements including SwipeSelection, AltKeyboard and the default iOS autocorrection. Watch out if you're currently using any 5-row keyboard mods, such as iKeywi. Other tweaks with incompatibilities include ColorKeyboard, Applocker, Lockdown and Passcode.
PredictiveKeyboard integrates fully with the default keyboard and provides additional functionality to speed typing. It's possible to switch languages, clear the learned list of words, and disable the tweak entirely from Settings -> PredictiveKeyboard.
PredictiveKeyboard is available on Cydia from the BigBoss repository for $2.39. Check here for instructions on how to jailbreak iOS 6.x with evasi0n. You can also find out how to purchase and install Cydia tweaks with this guide.
