There are many ways to customize the iOS 7 Control Center. A new jailbreak tweak named Vertex takes things to a whole new level, essentially combining the Control Center with a full fledged app switcher. In order to fit all of these elements on one screen, Control Center shortcuts such as the flashlight and calculator have been removed.
What comes it their place, however is a whole new interface that brings together the best of the app switcher and Control Center. Once installed, settings can be configured under Settings -> Vertex. Besides a kill switch, many options to customize the look and feel of Vertex are available.
An option can also be set to replace the Control Center with Vertex. When enabled, the toggle Swipe Up makes Vertex replace the default Control Center when swiping up from the bottom of the screen. Alternatively, leaving this toggle disabled will make it possible to access the default Control Center with a swipe up, leaving Vertex to a double press of the home button.
Ultimately Vertex provides one stop shopping for those looking to play music, switch apps, and toggle settings in the Control Center. There are some cosmetic settings to consider, but no matter how it's configured, Vertex looks and feels like a part of stock iOS 7. The tweak even allows for configuration with Flipswitch Control Center toggles, and provides the option to vertically swipe between toggles instead of the normal horizontal paging.
Vertex is available on Cydia from the BigBoss repo for $1.49. Check here for instructions on how to jailbreak iOS 7.x with evasi0n 7. You can also find out how to purchase and install Cydia tweaks with this guide.
