How can I capture a Snapchat screenshot without alerting the sender?
The whole point of using Snapchat to send photos and videos is to make sure these messages self destruct. By default, if the recipient of a message takes a screenshot before the snap expires, the sender gets a notification alert.
Of course there are many ways to get around this, and capture a screenshot of a Snapchat message secretly.
The app Snapkeep is entirely free on the App Store, and will intercept Snapchat photos and videos.
For this to work, the snaps must have never been viewed in the official Snapchat app. Logging into Snapkeep with your Snapchat credentials will open all new snaps, which can be saved to the Camera Roll without sending an alert.Another option for those with jailbroken devices is GhostPrefs, a free tweak available on Cydia. With GhostPrefs installed, there are a multitude of options added to Snapchat, including the ability to permanently save all sent or received messages. Alert notifications to the sender when taking a screenshot of a snap can also be turned off.
