Developer Scott Cawthon has released a trailer for Five Nights at Freddy's 2. The official YouTube description doesn't offer any details about the new game, but it does include a link to the game's Steam Greenlight page. The good news is that the game has been greenlit by the Steam community. The bad news is that it's not coming to iOS devices first. This doesn't mean that the game will not be released to the App Store, it just means iOS users will have to wait a little longer to play it.
The sequel takes place at the "new and improved" Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Freddy and his animatronic friends have been redesigned with new facial recognition technology, but they are still malfunctioning. You are once again the new night security guard, but this time around there are no security doors to keep you safe. Instead you have been supplied with an empty Freddy Fazbear head, to fool Freddy and his friends into thinking you're one of them.
While Cawthon hasn't announced an official release date yet, some Steam members seem to think the game will be released in time for Halloween. We can only keep our fingers crossed that it hits Steam soon so he can begin working on an iOS version.
