How do I make DuckDuckGo my default search engine?

Online privacy is an issue that is on everyone's mind (and rightfully so). Apple acknowledged these concerns by adding DuckDuckGo as a search engine option in both iOS 8 and Yosemite. DuckDuckGo, whose slogan is "The search engine that doesn't track you," does not track your searches or profile you, and it shows all users the same results rather than personalizing them.

To make DuckDuckGo your default search engine, go to Settings and scroll down to the Safari app. Tap that and the first item you see on the next screen will be "Search Engine." Tap that and you'll see several options for your default search engine. Select DuckDuckGo.
