How can I change Apple TV screen resolution?

By default, Apple TV automatically sets screen resolution to match the capability of the connected display.

Resolution can be manually selected to reduce bandwidth usage or improve picture quality. Higher resolution normally requires faster connection speeds and increased data throughput.

To manually adjust Apple TV output resolution:

1. On the Apple TV navigate to Settings -> Audio and Video -> TV Resolution.
2. Select the desired screen resolution from the listed options.

To return to the default setting, follow the steps above and select Auto.
