What is Force Touch on the Apple Watch?
Force Touch is capable of sensing force, which means Apple Watch can distinguish between a light tap and a deep press. Watch OS will use this sensing capability to provide access to a variety of deep press controls in different contexts.
Apple has described Force Touch as the most significant new sensing capability since Multi-Touch was first released on the iPhone in 2007. The technology works by using electrodes around the flexible Apple Watch display to detect pressure.
