The second wing of Hearthstone's Blackrock Mountain adventure opened this week. The new level called Molten Core, features fiery elemental minions and the bosses Garr, Baron Geddo and Majordomo Executus. Players can unlock the new wing for 700 in-game gold or $6.99 USD. The next level Blackrock Spire should be available soon.
Touch Arcade has learned that Backflip Studios is developing a new game called G.I. Joe Strike for mobile devices. The game will star Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow and it will feature "cinematic action" and "responsive touch controls. The news was announced at G.I. Joe convention in Springfield, Illinois.
Everywear Games announced its first Apple Watch title called Runeblade. The fantasy adventure game will be one of the first titles developed exclusively for smartwatches.
“With Runeblade, we wanted to create a fresh, new kind of gaming experience on smartwatches,” said Aki Järvilehto, CEO of Everywear Games. “The game is designed to be played in 5-15 second sessions and builds over time as you progress through the journey. We’re excited to help pioneer game development on Apple Watch with a fully original title designed specifically for smartwatch gaming. ”A second gaming studio also announced that they will also be developing games exclusively for the Apple Watch. Robot 5 Studios plans to release a suite of games that users can play in 10-20 seconds, such as Blackjack Mini and a football title.

The Mortal Kombat X companion app allows players to unlock classic characters, special attacks and artifacts to use in both the mobile and console versions of the game. The mobile version is a slimmed down version of the larger console title, but it does include 3v3 combat, fatatlities and easy to use touch screen controls.

Garfield has his very own mobile building title like The Simpsons Tapped Out. Players can spend mass amounts of money on in-app purchases to build Garfield’s wilderness camp and fill it with other characters like Odie, John and the annoying Nermal. The game features hundreds of quests, over 30 food items to grow, mini-games and the ability to unlock animate scenes and comic strips.
HBO NOW: Free for the iPod touch, iPhone and iPad (Requires iOS 7.0 or later) Rated 17+
The HBO NOW app on iOS and Apple TV is the only way to watch Game of Thrones without a cable or satellite subscription. Apple users can sign up for the new standalone subscription service for $15 a month. The service offers all of HBO’s content including television shows (old and new), movies, documentaries, comedy specials and more.
