What is the Apple Liquid Retina display?

The Liquid Retina display was revealed to the world on September 12, 2018. This edge-to-edge LCD display is featured on the iPhone XR. Much like the iPhone X screen, Liquid Retina fills the corners of the iPhone XR and has a notch for FaceID sensors.

Liquid Retina supports a wide color gamut, tap to wake, True Tone and the best color accuracy in the industry. Liquid Retina on the iPhone XR features 326 pixels per inch. on a 6.1-inch diagonal 1792 x 828 resolution LCD.

The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max feature a Super Retina HD display, which are both based on OLED technology.
