Hot on the heels of Monday's iOS 10.2 release, Apple is offering AirPods for sale. While the wireless headphones were originally scheduled for launch in late October, Apple delayed until they were completely ready for customers to enjoy. Delivery for the initial batch was set for December 21st, however since this morning ship times have slipped to 4 weeks. This means that for anyone currently ordering AirPods they will arrive during the second week of January.

Apple has yet to officially announce the AirPods release date. Originally slated for launch in late October, this time frame came and went as Apple continued work on the product. Now an Apple retailer located in France has begun taking pre-orders with a shipping date of November 30.

Late October is here, and Apple has announced a delay in the AirPods release date. While an official ship date for the wireless AirPods has never been revealed, the company was originally planning to launch the new headphones around this time. An Apple spokesperson explained to TechCrunch, "We don’t believe in shipping a product before it’s ready, and we need a little more time before AirPods are ready for our customers."
