500px Photo App Returns to the iOS App Store

500px fans may have been surprised last week when Apple pulled the app thanks to some controversial images. It seems that 500px has been revised and given the all-clear from Apple, and version 2.0.3 is now available on the App Store. 500px made two major changes to the app to make sure App Store requirements were met.

First, all nude photo searches are blocked. 500px maintains that artistic nudity is allowed on their website, however users will find it more difficult to search for these images on iOS. The second major change added a mature rating to the app, requiring that users installing the app are 17 or older.

What looks like it could be an April Fool's joke is actually a product vying for support on the fundraising site Indiegogo. Appropriately named the Uppercup, this device will not only protect your iPhone, but it will also hold a steaming hot cup of your favorite caffeinated beverage.

Marketing company Natwerk, based in Amsterdam is seeking $25,000 to start production of the UpperCup and start selling the cases for a retail price of $35. Of course, if you kick in $25 or $30 on Indiegogo, donations are rewarded with an Uppercup from the first production run (iPhone 4/4S and iPhone 5 respectively).

Planetbeing has added to the pile of evidence pointing to a full jailbreak, explaining that iOS 6.1 is still vulnerable to all of the exploits the team was planning on using to jailbreak. Apparently the team is merging and polishing two proof of concepts to form a final public release. The entire jailbreak process has been successfully tested from start to finish.

Apple Launches iOS 6.1 Firmware Update

Apple has released the latest round of improvements and bug fixes to iOS. Version 6.1 has hit the streets, and the update includes several new features for the iPhone 3GS and later. The iPod touch 4G and 5G as well as all iPads from the iPad 2 on can take advantage of the free iOS 6.1 firmware update.
