How can I type an Apple symbol / logo on the iPhone keyboard?
You can't enter an Apple symbol directly from the keyboard on the iPhone. There is a workaround that makes it possible to get this character onto the iPhone for use in different apps or as a folder name.
Connect your iPhone to the computer and open iTunes. Make sure your iPhone is selected in the left hand menu and click the Apps tab at the top of the iTunes window. Drag one of your apps on the home screen on top of another to create a new folder. You can also double-click on an existing folder.
The folder name appears in a text box. Click this text box to edit the name of the folder and type Option-Shift-K (all three keys simultaneously) to type an Apple symbol. Sync your iPhone to bring the new folder name to the phone. Now you have an Apple logo in the folder name on your iPhone. You can also edit the folder name on your iPhone to copy and paste the Apple logo to other apps.
To edit the folder name on your iPhone hold down on a folder. When everything is wiggling tap the folder you wish to edit. You'll see the Apple icon in a text box showing the folder name. Tap this box to bring up the keyboard. Hold down in the text box to show the magnifying glass and select the Apple symbol. Tap copy. The Apple symbol is on the clipboard and can be pasted into other apps.
