Mac users will already know that OS X has a reflective, animated application dock across one side of the screen. When programs are launched or need your attention, the icons bounce, and running applications are indicated with a light below the program icon. Why not add these great features to your jailbroken iOS device?
ActiveDock makes this all possible, along with a variety of settings to control behavior. The best part is that ActiveDock is fully compatible with two other iOS dock-related tweaks, Auxo and Zephyr. Besides adding the stylish reflection under the app icons, ActiveDock provides several other features.
Under Settings -> ActiveDock you can not only enable or disable the tweak, but bouncing behavior can be adjusted. App icons can be made to bounce on launch or when there’s a pending notification from an app. The bounce frequency is also adjustable, with Constant providing a look similar to OS X. Last but not least, running apps will be indicated with a light across the bottom of the display. This is handy so you know which apps are running in the background.
ActiveDock is available on Cydia from the BigBoss repo for $1.99. Check here for instructions on how to jailbreak iOS 6.x with evasi0n. You can also find out how to purchase and install Cydia tweaks with this guide.
