Apple long ago debuted the App Store for the Apple TV, which functions just like the App Store does on your iPhone, iPad or Mac.

Simply navigate using the Apple TV remote or your iPhone (as a remote) and select the Apple TV App Store icon. Once the Apple TV App Store icon launches, you can browse the most popular entertainment apps, games, productivity apps and more.

Please note: the Apple TV App Store is only available on the 4th and 5th generation Apple TV. If you're using the 1st, 2nd or 3rd generation Apple TV, you're restricted to the apps that come pre-installed on the device.
