According to rumors Tim Cook and team has a lot planned for Apple fans during its upcoming September 9th media event at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, CA. Not only is Apple going to unveil its new iPhone 6s, but the company is expected to announce its redesigned Apple TV and new Apple Watch Sport band colors, according to 9to5Mac.
Mark Gurman reports that Apple will stick with the same storage tiers and pricing that the company has always used for its new iPhone models. This means there will be a 16GB version available for both the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, and on-contract pricing will remain the same at $199, $299, and $399 for the 6s, and $299, $399, and $499 for the 6S Plus. Here's the rumored pricing breakdown:
iPhone 6s
- 16GB - $199
- 64GB - $299
- 128GB - $399
iPhone 6s Plus
- 16GB - $299
- 64GB - $399
- 128GB - $499
The iPhone 5s will become Apple's free on-contract model, replacing the iPhone 5c, and the rumored 4-inch iPhone 6c will not make an appearance at the event, according to Gurman.
The new Apple Watch Sport band colors will most likely be the same as the bands Jony Ive previewed at Milan’s Salone Del Mobile Design Fair back in April.
The fourth-generation Apple TV is allegedly going to be a huge upgrade from its predecessor and will be priced at under $200, possibly starting at around $149. Rumored specs include a new processor, its own App Store, universal search option, and a redesigned remote with Siri voice search option and motion controls for video games. The Apple keynote is scheduled for 10 a.m. PDT on Wednesday, September 9th. You can watch a livestream of the event on your Mac, iPod touch, iPhone, iPad or PC running Windows 10 via the Apple Events page on apple.com.
