One of the minor inconveniences when using iOS devices involves rotation lock. For some users, there are situations when locking the orientation is preferred. The problem happens when switching to another app that requires the opposite orientation. For example, switching from reading an iBook in bed (portrait) to viewing a movie (landscape). To turn off rotation lock, the Control Center must be toggled every time.
Now those with jailbroken devices can avoid the issue entirely. The tweak EasyAppOrientation eliminates this first world problem by automatically setting the correct orientation for individual apps. Once installed, the apps to lock can be defined within each orientation type: Portrait, Landscape Right, Landscape Left, and Portrait (Upside Down). Simply toggle the switch for each app to define the correct orientation, and it will automatically lock when the app is launched.
EasyAppOrientation is free on the Cydia app store. To start customizing iOS, click here for instructions on how to jailbreak iOS 9 with Pangu. Find out how to purchase and install Cydia tweaks with this guide.
