iOS App of the Week: Spark - email replacement for Mailbox

Spark

Today is the day Dropbox officially shuts down its email client Mailbox. Starting today users will no longer be able to login to the Mailbox app, and all user data will be wiped from Dropbox's servers in 30 days. For those of you who missed the memo and did not already find a replacement email app we suggest, Spark.

Yesterday Spark received its biggest update ever making it more useful to iOS users. The biggest improvements include native support for all iPad screen sizes, and iCloud support for syncing your email settings across all devices. Spark has also been updated with watchOS 2 support making your email accessible on your iPod touch, iPhone, iPad, including the iPad Pro and Apple Watch.

Spark offers a lot of great features found on other email clients such as Gmail. The app automatically groups your emails in order of importance highlighting urgent emails and grouping personal messages and newsletters together. It also includes easy to use swipe controls for deleting emails, pinning time sensitive emails and for archiving emails you have already read or want to read later. The app includes deep settings for customizing your inbox and the ability to create you own Quick Reply messages. Quick Reply messages are great for the Apple Watch and you can also dictate replies on the fly while using the app.

Spark has also been updated with several new languages and it includes a smart search for locating emails and attachments, smart notifications, the ability to save emails as PDFs and support for all the major document storage services such as iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive and more.

If you're looking for a new email client or a replacement for Mailbox, Spark is definitely an app you will want to consider. Spark is free on the Apple App Store. It supports all devices running iOS 8.3 or later.
