Google has added a new "Goals" feature to its Calendar app for busy iPhone owners. The app now helps users by searching their Calendar app and scheduling the best time for completing personal goals. The app will also automatically reschedule a goal if it conflicts with a new event, and users can defer goals if they can't be completed at the scheduled time. The update comes as part of the app's tenth anniversary.
Google said, "calendars should help you make the most of your time—not just be tools to track events."
Google Calendar is available for free on the Apple App Store. The app also includes a To-do list option where users can schedule Reminders that do not go away until completed. A To-do Reminder is like a typical calendar entry but it keeps bumping to the top of your calendar until you complete it and swipe it away. The app also syncs with Gmail to automatically pencil in reservations to your calendar, and it offers smart suggestions for quickly adding events.
Google Calendar works with other calendars stored on your device, and other services such as iCloud. The app supports all devices running iOS 8.0 or later.
