AT&T Mobility Stream Saver intends to reduce data usage for cellular subscribers on the AT&T network. What happens when content is not recognized by AT&T as streaming video? Why are my mobile videos using so much data?
Sometimes Stream Saver does not kick in when streaming video on a wireless device. There are two main reasons why Stream Saver doesn't work every time video is played using cellular data:
- AT&T systems did not identify the content as streaming video, so it was not reduced in quality by the service.
- The content provider has opted out of AT&T Stream Saver, preventing their streaming video feeds from participating in the service.
