How do I add friends in Game Center?

Game Center lets you create a list of friends that you can then invite to play in multiplayer games and compare scores and achievements with. To add a friend open Settings -> Game Center and tap on invite friends. It will automatically create a text message invite, you just have to fill out who it will send to.
