Apple battery replacement pricing to increase

Battery replacements on older iPhone models are set to increase in cost. Starting on March 1, 2023, Apple will raise repair fees for iPhones that are out of warranty by $20. AppleCare+ subscribers will not be affected by this change. Since the iPhone 14 launch in September, battery replacement service on the latest models have been priced at $99.
Apple extends AppleCare+ accidental damage coverage

Good news for anyone with active AppleCare+ coverage on their iPhone, or those planning to purchase coverage on a new device. Apple has quietly changed the terms of service. Until recently, AppleCare+ provided for two accidental damage incidents per year.
Now AppleCare+ customers can rest assured that unlimited repairs for accidental damage protection are included in the plan. Of course, each incident requires a service fee for covered repairs. The breakdown is as follows:
iPhone 12 no sound issues service program extended

Apple has extended its ongoing iPhone 12 service program to address no sound issues. A small percentage of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models may experience a receiver module failure, leading to sound not working during phone calls. These "no sound" issues have been covered under a special Apple service program since it first launched in summer 2021.

Apple has officially launched its Self Service Repair Store, delivering repair manuals and tools for those familiar with repairing electronics. iPhone owners can get authentic parts including displays, batteries, Taptic Engines, and cameras. Tool kits can even be rented weekly, providing everything needed for specific repairs.
