Unlike Nintendo, who refuses to port their games to iOS devices, SEGA has embraced mobile gaming. There are plenty of SEGA titles already available on the App Store, including eight Sonic the Hedgehog games, with four more releases planned for this winter.
Touch Arcade got an early look at SEGA's upcoming iOS lineup which includes a remastered version of Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing: Transformed.
SEGA also plans to release Rhythm Thief & The Paris Caper and an action RPG game called Demon Tribe to the app store next year.
Sonic The Hedgehog 2 will receive a lot of the same upgrades, like polished touch-based controls, as the updated original Sonic The Hedgehog game for iOS devices.
Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing: Transformed will feature a "World Tour" mode and multiplayer mode. Transformed is expected to hit the App Store in December.
