Save the date. Apple has probably scheduled a media event for Wednesday, September 9th to reveal the iPhone 6s. But that's not all, according to John Paczkowski at BuzzFeed. The iPhone updates are just the tip of the iceberg, with new iPads and a long-awaited Apple TV refresh also in the works. The only remaining question is whether or not Apple will deliver the rumored 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
When it comes to the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, several upgrades to hardware are expected. Besides a quicker A9 processor, stronger aluminum chassis, and rose gold colorway, the new designs are also rumored to feature Force Touch technology. The camera will also see improvements, including an increase to 12 megapixels and removal of the protruding camera lens on the iPhone 6s.
Revamped iPads would normally be revealed in October, but according to the report Apple will mention them on September 9th, too. The real story will be the first Apple TV refresh in over three years. Apple TV hardware is expected to utilize the A8 processor to power Siri, and come with a remote control sporting a touchpad. The new version will increase storage space in a smaller footprint. Apple will also announce a special App Store designed just for the Apple TV.
