Voter - Matchmaking for Politics is a new matchmaking app for politics. The app pairs users with the best politician and political party for them by analyzing data, such as public stances, voting records, speeches, and more. It is a lot like those "what television character are you" quizzes you see on Facebook, but instead of being matched with Walking Dead characters you're matched with politicians like Ben Carson, Hillary Clinton and so on.
The app works just like Tinder, but instead of swiping through potential dates, you're given political topics like "keep same-sex marriage legal" and "abolish the death penalty." You swipe right for "Yes" and left for "No." Unfortunately there are no middle ground responses if you're unsure about an issue. After you answer a few questions the app will sort through all its data and reveal what 2016 presidential candidate shares the same views as you.
It is also fun to try to test your political knowledge by answering the questions to get the closest match to a predetermined candidate, or you can just to see how much in common you have with candidates you dislike, like Donald Trump.
The app currently has two tiers of questions, but the developers promise they're working on adding more elections in the future.
Voter - Matchmaking for Politics is available for free on the App Store. It supports all devices running iOS 8.3 or later.
