Five Nights at Freddy's developer Scott Cawthon shocked fans this week by releasing a trailer to Five Nights at Freddy's World. Instead of following the normal creepy point-and-click format as the original four games, Freddy's World is a cute and colorful RPG with a Final Fantasy-like battle system. Cawthon did say in September that he wanted to use the Five Nights at Freddy's characters "in a new and fun way" and create a type of game that he hadn't created in a long time.
"It will not be a horror game," Cawthon said, "but a role playing game where you create a party using the huge selection of characters from the FNaF games, including the classic, withered, toy, phantom, and nightmare versions."
Five Nights at Freddy's World will launch in 2016. You can watch the trailer in the trailers section at the bottom of this post.
On Thursday Nintendo announced that their first mobile app will be called Miitomo. It is not a game like some fans had hoped. Miitomo is a social networking app where users can create Mii avatars and share common interests with other players. The app will launch in March 2016 and be followed by four other mobile releases from Nintendo and DeNA later that year.
