Saying video game fans are excited for the release of Fallout 4 next week is an understatement. The collectible Pip-Boy edition has been sold out for months, and the free-to-play building game Fallout Shelter has been a hit on the App Store since its release in June. Taking advantage of the excitement, Bethesda has released the official Fallout Pip-Boy app a few days ahead of the console and PC release on November 10.
Like most tie-in apps, the Fallout Pip-Boy allows console and PC players to stay connected to their game on their iPod touch, iPhone or iPad. Users can check their Stats, Inventory, Map, Radio and even play their holotape games when they are away from their PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC. The app is also perfect for the Pip-Boy replica that comes with the special edition mentioned above. The few Fallout fans who were lucky enough to nab a Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition can snap their iPod touch or iPhone into the Pip-Boy replica and use their Pip-Boy app for an authentic Vault Dweller experience.
The Fallout Pip-Boy app is available now for free on the Apple App Store. It supports all devices running iOS 6.9 or later.
Fallout 4 is available for pre-order from amazon.com and other video game retailers. The game will begin shipping for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 10,
