We previously reported that Five Nights at Freddy's developer, Scott Cawthon, decided to delay the release to his spin-off Sister Location due to the game being too mature. After receiving too much criticism for not releasing the game in time for Halloween, Cawthon decided to release a "mature" version in "sections."
The mature version is not officially part of the Five Nights canon, and it is not recommended to fans of the series who enjoy following the story of the franchise.
" I would recommend that real fans of the games, and real followers of the lore, wait a few months until I’m able to really make something that everyone can enjoy, and something that can still be scary," writes Cawthon.
The game is being released in chapters to Game Jolt, and it not available on iOS. You can download the first chapter here.
This week we looked at 5 apps to get you into the Halloween spirit, but one of those apps, Puzzlepops! Trick or Treat, was not yet available on the App Store. Layton Hawkes' follow-up to his popular lollipop puzzle game comes with a Halloween candy theme. The object of the game is to slide candy corn and other confectioneries along white sticks to create lollipops. Both Puzzlepops! and its sequel are simple but challenging puzzle games. The original is currently 50% off for Halloween and Trick or Treat is available on the App Store for free.

Another free Halloween title released this week is Monster Tale. The puzzle game is a generic match 3 title where you play as a cute monster named Swampy who must help his friends in Fairyland.
