How much does it cost to send an Apple Pay Cash payment?

Apple's peer-to-peer payments service allows iOS users to send payments to each other through the Messages app. Payments are deducted from a debit or credit card attached to a user's account. Transactions made using a debit card are free, but there is a standard 3% credit card fee on the amount funded from those making a payment using Apple Cash Pay.
