Google redesigned its Gmail service in April, 2018. The search engine giant rolled out several new features including a confidential mode, two-factor authentication, and Smart Replies.
Smart Replies offers short phrases users can select and use to respond to emails. While some Gmail users may find this feature helpful, those who find it creepy, annoying or useless may choose to disable it within the Gmail app. Here's how to disable Smart Replies on your iOS device:
- Open the Gmail app on your device.
- Tap the 3 lines in the upper left hand corner.
- Tap Settings
- Choose the account you want to use if you have multiple accounts.
- Tap the Smart Reply slider so it is WHITE/OFF.
