As expected, Apple has launched the official Smart Battery Case for its 2019 iPhone lineup. The iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max each have their own Smart Battery Case models in various colors. This year the case features a dedicated camera button, which launches the Camera app and captures still images or video right away. The camera button works whether the iPhone is locked or unlocked, further increasing the iPhone 11 lineup's focus on photography.

Wireless Bluetooth headphones are great for untethered listening. But many devices have traditional headphone connectors, rendering AirPods, Beats, and other wireless options useless. Apple officially ditched the headphone jack on the iPhone 7 and later, making the Lightning to 3.5mm adapter the missing link for wired headphones. Twelve South now makes a similar adapter to connect the latest wireless headphones such as AirPods directly to a 3.5mm headphone port.

Apple quietly published a press release announcing the long-rumored AirPods Pro wireless earphones. Not only are the upgraded AirPods Pro official, they are launching on Wednesday, October 30th. Apple detailed the design and features of the AirPods Pro, as well as their cost. The new design offers "truly immersive sound" along with Active Noise Cancellation and silicone ear tips for optimized fit.

Wireless charging is quick and convenient, with no Lightning cable required. Apple's latest devices all support the Qi wireless charging standard, which means there are many choices when it comes to charging pads, stands and other products. Even AirPods with a wireless charging case can be placed on a wireless charger, just like an iPhone. And iPhones can be charged wirelessly without removing a case.

The iPhone 11 has arrived in stores, and like other recent iPhones, most of the device is glass. This design provides for a large display and wireless charging, but it can also leave the iPhone vulnerable to impacts and scratches. For damage and drop protection nothing comes close to using a sturdy case on the iPhone 11. That being said, screen protectors are another option that can be used in conjunction with a case or by themselves.
