The original photo sharing site for Twitter is now available as an app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch with an Android app soon to follow. The TwitPic iOS app may seem a little late, but it does come after Facebook’s $1 billion Instagram acquisition.

The TwitPic app allows you to share, browse and edit your photos from any iOS device. Here are the complete release notes:

Apple released iOS 5.1.1 a few days after iOS developer pod2g announced that his jailbroken iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1 was untethered. Of course you will want to avoid the update if your device is currently jailbroken. For non-jailbreakers the update brings improved reliability for the HDR option when accessing the camera app, and a few bug fixes. Here is a complete list of changes:

Improves reliability of using HDR option for photos taken using the Lock Screen shortcut.

Addresses bugs that could prevent the new iPad from switching between 2G and 3G networks.

Fixes bugs that affected AirPlay video playback in some circumstances.

Improved reliability for syncing Safari bookmarks and Reading List.

Fixes an issue where ‘Unable to purchase’ alert could be displayed after successful purchase.

The not-so-friendly iPhone app Ugly Meter has climbed its way to the top of the app charts recently. It's unknown why the face rating app is so popular, but it's currently listed as the third best selling app after Angry Birds Space and Flick Home Run in the iTunes App Store.

The application scans a persons face before dishing out a 1 to 10 "ugly" rating along with nasty comments like: "Wow you're ugly, is your doctor a vet?". The Daily Mail tested the app's ugly rating ability by using celebrities like Cheryl Cole and Angelina Jolie. Cole scored a 4.2 while Jolie scored a 2.0 along with the positive comment: "You're so hot you make the sun jealous." However, David Cameron (7.0) scored slightly better than Brad Pitt (8.0).

Asylum Press is releasing a 32 page sampler comic via comiXology for the iPad and iPhone on May 5th for Free Comic Book Day. The sampler will feature 8-page previews of their titles Trenchcoats, Cigarettes and Shotguns, Black Powder, Farmhouse and Chopper. Aylum Press Sampler Free Comic Book 2012 #1 will also be available for Android devices, the KindleFire and Nook.

"We're excited about the possibility of reaching new fans on Free Comic Book Day,“ explains publisher Frank Forte. "People will be going to comics stores in droves, but they'll also be on their tablets and iPads. Mobile device and smart phone ownership keeps growing at an amazing rate and we want to provide great comics to these readers. Digital comics are the return of the newsstand."

In case you missed it, the jailbreak-like application Bluetooth OnOff is still available in the iTunes App Store. Even though the app seems to be in violation of Apple's App Store guidelines, it has managed to survive for six days now. It's unknown whether Apple will pull the app or let it remain, but to be safe, you should probably act quickly.

Bluetooth OnOff offers a simple solution to one of the biggest iPhone complaints -- the ability to activate and deactivate your bluetooth easily. Normally a user must navigate to Settings/General/Bluetooth/Toggle to switch their bluetooth on or off. This application saves you time by allowing you to toggle your bluetooth settings just by launching the app. It also offers some kind of bluetooth chat option, but most iPhone owners will only be interested in the simple toggle feature.
