Speck, who is known for its colorful iPhone cases, has announced CandyShell Fit, a new protective cover for the Apple Watch. The shell's dual-layer design promises to protect your Apple Watch during activities such as CrossFit, rock climbing, and cycling. The case is also easy to take on and off and does not obstruct functionality of the Watch, or take away from its design, according to Speck.

Apple published guidelines for creating third party Apple Watch bands to its developer website on Monday. The website includes a 12-page PDF titled "Band Design Guidelines for Apple Watch" and a link for downloading the Apple Watch lug profile. The "Made for Apple Watch" program does not include guidelines for other accessories such as chargers.

Using PowerPoint or Keynote to deliver presentation slideshows just got easier with the Apple Watch. Now presenters can remote control slides right from the watch, with no other external remote needed. Keynote for iOS version 2.5.3 adds support for the Keynote Remote Apple Watch app. Previously, Keynote users could use their iOS devices to remote control a slide presentation on a Mac. Apple Watch functionality operates in much the same manner.

The Wall Street Journal has learned that Apple is struggling to meet Apple Watch demand due to a "key component" of the Watch being defective. The report claims that Taptic Engines manufactured by AAC Technologies Holdings were found to break down over time forcing Apple to slow production of the Apple Watch until June.
