Capcom today has released two arcade classics to the Apple App Store. First is the popular airplane shooter 1942. The vertical scroller was first released to the arcade in 1984. In the game players control a plane called the "Super Ace" during World War II. The goal of the game is to mow down the opposing army as you roll and loop to avoid enemy fire.
The mobile version features all the classic arcade action of the original with new touch-screen controls, global leaderboards and achievements. 1942 is available now on the App Store for $1.99. It supports all devices running iOS 8.0 or later.
