April Fools' Day has arrived, and as usual Google joined in the fun. iPhone owners can play Ms. Pac-Man directly in the Google Maps app. The feature works by automatically converting any location into a completely functional Ms. Pac-Man board. In fact, desktop users of Google Maps can also play by clicking the "Insert coin" button.

The mobile gaming hit Pokémon GO received an update to version 1.1.0 over the weekend, leading many players to believe their progress has been lost. According to game developer Niantic, this is a login issue that surfaced due to an update to the Google Account login system. Rest assured, your Pokémon GO account still exists and can easily be recovered.

Ubisoft has released another mobile spin-off from its Assassin's Creed franchise. Assassin's Creed Memories is a free-to-play, card battling RPG that takes place throughout different periods in history. Players must travel through time to places like Renaissance Italy and Colonial America to eliminate their targets and collect cards. Players can also collect weapons and equipment from the different eras to upgrade their characters.
Assassin's Creed Memories features a 20 vs. 20 multiplayer guild mode, brand-new locations such as Feudal Japan and the Mongolian Empire, the ability to send out contracts and characters from the Assassin’s Creed universe. The game was designed by PlayNext and Gree, which means it includes social features and in-app purchases.

One of the best iOS games of the year is getting released again as a free edition. Adult Swim's Castle Doombad: Free to Slay will be available on the App Store tonight, according to Touch Arcade. The new version will feature all the same trap setting antics as the original, with only a few minor tweaks. The free version of the app will be ad supported and it will feature a few optional in-app purchases such as Doom Shekel packs. Users will also have the option to watch videos to earn additional in-game currency.
In Castle Doombad, players assume the role of Dr. Lord Evilstein, who has recently kidnapped a princess. Players must use various traps and call on their minions to stop the knights, bounty hunters and other heroes from saving her. The game is described as a "reverse spin on tower defense". The game features three different chapters (four if the new Slaycation levels are included), over 45 levels, great cartoon graphics, fun characters and an endless mode.

The updates just keep coming for Real Racing 3, the top free app in over 90 countries. EA and Firemonkeys are constantly working to make this Best of 2013 mobile game even better. This time version 2.3.0 allows iOS drivers to race on the world’s foremost endurance racing circuit, the Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans.
When the sun sets it's time for the headlights to come on. Besides the stunning new ambiance, players can race next generation Le Mans prototype vehicles, including the Audi R18 e-tron Quattro, Porsche 919 Hybrid and the Toyota TS040 Hybrid. In addition to a Le Mans Campaign, split-screen multiplayer makes it possible to race with up to 4 people using Bluetooth controllers.
