Case-Mate is offering 20% off its new line of Olo smartphone cases. The line features a variety of colorful and playful cases for the iPhone (4, 4S and 5 only) Samsung Galaxy S3 and even the newly introduced BlackBerry Z10. There are three categories of Olo Cases available: Sleek & Slim, Just for Fun and Rugged Protection.

There are six Sleek & Slim cases available for various Apple and Android smartphones, and three Rugged Protection cases available for the iPhone, some Android devices and even the iPad. However, the Just for Fun cases are what really make Case-Mate's Olo line standout. The group offers 24 different cute cases with various animal and other custom designed prints, such as the cupcake case pictured above. All the Just for Fun cases are made of impact resistant, flexible silicone and feature easy-to-hold grips to protect against bumps and falls.

The iPhone Dev-Team has released redsn0w version 0.9.15b1. The update brings a lot of changes for restoring to older firmware. The iPhone 5 is 18 percent thinner and 20 percent lighter than the other iPhones, but the price has remained the same. Apple will offer the iPhone 5 for $199 (16GB), $299 (32GB), and $399 (64GB) on September 21. Pre-orders for the next-generation iPhone open on September 14. If you're looking to upgrade from the now discontinued iPhone 3GS, but $200 is out of your price range, you can now nab an iPhone 4S for $99, or receive a free iPhone 4 with a new contract.

Recent rumors about a September iPhone 5 release have caused a 70 percent increase to eBay's smartphone trade-in program. eBay said (via CNET) the number of trade-ins started to increase around the same time several well known sources purportedly confirmed Apple will hold a special event to announce the new iPhone on September 12. The company said "nearly" 100,000 smartphones were traded-in during a three day period following the announcements.

The 16GB model of the iPhone 4S topped the trade-ins, followed by the 8GB iPhone 4 and 32GB iPhone 4S. Last year eBay received 375,000 trade-in offers for smartphones when the iPhone 4S was officially announced. 89 percent of those smartphones were iPhones.
