Not running iOS 15? Apple has released an important security update for all devices with iOS 14 installed. There are many performance improvements and bug fixes included as well. While the update does not bring any new features to the table, it keeps iOS 14 secure by patching a number of security vulnerabilities. Whether your device is older or you've decided to postpone installing iOS 15, it's a good idea to keep iOS current.

Apple extends AirPods Pro service program

Almost a year ago Apple initiated a repair program for AirPods Pro. A small percentage of users with AirPods Pro manufactured before October 2020 reported problems with crackling or static noises, and Active Noise Cancellation not working properly. The repair program offers service to fix these issues once confirmed.

Initially the program covered affected AirPods Pro for up to two years after the first retail sale. Apple has quietly extended the program to three years, giving customers more time to discover and solve any problems they are experiencing.

Third generation AirPods have arrived. Apple showed off the latest installment in its wireless headphone lineup at the fall "Unleashed" event. Completely redesigned, the AirPods 3 offer several features previously offered on the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max models. Much like their predecessor, the latest AirPods are wireless earbuds with a universal fit and no ear tips.

By the end of the month, several Apple devices are set to join the official vintage products list. Vintage products have been off the market for at least five years but no more than seven, and it may be difficult to receive repairs due to parts availability. Products seven years or older are considered obsolete, which means they are no longer serviced by Apple or any Apple Authorized Service Providers.

The top-rated action game on the App Store is Pokémon UNITE just days after its release. The game offers 5-on-5 strategic team Pokémon battles on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Players can join trainers from around the world for fast-paced battles that require teamwork to succeed. Pokémon UNITE joins the growing list of mobile titles available from The Pokemon Company. The game previously launched on the Nintendo Switch earlier this summer.
