Pandora fans can now use their favorite music service on the HomePod and HomePod mini. Support for Apple's smart speakers has arrived, with Siri recognizing voice requests to play tracks from Pandora's music library. iOS 14 has made it possible to use third-party apps for many services on the iPhone, iPad, and HomePod.

This week Apple fired up its 24-7 music video channel, Apple Music TV. The live streaming service is free to watch, and includes live shows, world premieres, music videos, and more. US-based customers can see Apple Music TV in the Apple TV app or the Apple Music app. The channel can also be seen by launching Apple TV via apple.co/applemusictv.

The iPhone 12 mini is the most interesting of the four new handsets announced by Apple at its October keynote. Up until now most of the lower-tier models featured parts from older phones, but the mini boasts a lot of the same hardware as the other iPhone 12 models. It's also slightly smaller than the current iPhone SE, but it is equipped with a larger display making it a faster and more powerful option for those who prefer one handed devices.

Apple has announced a date for its highly anticipated October event, the second special Apple Event this fall. The fireworks begin on Tuesday, October 13 at 10 AM Pacific (1 PM Eastern) and is titled "Hi, Speed." With new iPads and the Apple Watch Series 6 already on the books, the event next week is expected to be all about the upcoming iPhone 12 models.

It was a big week for Apple after delivering its all-virtual "Time Flies" media event on September 15. Both iOS 14 and watchOS 7 were rolled out to customers, and Apple launched several new products. Apple fans looking for a glimpse of the iPhone 12 lineup will have to wait a little bit longer, with the release delayed until next month. Despite not revealing a new iPhone the Apple event had plenty to offer.
