The Flickr iOS app received some new features thanks to the latest update released on February 21. Besides faster image uploads, users will notice a new user tagging feature that works by typing @screename. Lightbox thumbnails are also now a higher resolution than they were before.

Flickr makes it possible to view and participate in everything the photo sharing site has to offer. The mobile app has received many great reviews for its design and functionality. Flickr is a Yahoo! product and can be downloaded on the App Store free of charge.

Let's face it, there are some features of Android that iOS could benefit from having. Seriously, why doesn't Apple show photos in the stock Contacts list? If this is a feature that interests you, now that the evasi0n jailbreak is available you can easily add this to your iPhone. Jay Freeman, the creator of the jailbreak app store Cydia, developed Cyntact years ago and has kept it updated.

Once you install Cyntact, all of the photos associated with your contacts appear magically in the Contacts list. It's that simple. The photos will also appear in your Favorites. Sure, this tweak may not be essential, but it's a nice touch when you've spent the time to actually use photos on the Info pages of your contacts.

The smaller screen can make it more difficult to use these three and four-finger gestures. The great thing about Zephyr is the additional Swipe up from Bottom and Swipe from Left and Right gestures that improve multitasking and reduce home button use.
