How can I restore / sync an iPhone backup stored on iCloud?
Your iPhone data can be restored from iCloud when setting up a new device, or after erasing all data from a device using Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase All Content and Settings.
You will be prompted by Setup Assistant by a new iPhone to set up as a new phone or restore from backup.
- Make sure your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi and plugged into the charger.
- When you reach the Apps & Data screen, select the option Restore from iCloud Backup.
- Enter your iCloud account (Apple ID) and password.
- Choose the recent backup you wish to restore to your iPhone.
- Enter any passwords required when prompted.
You will see a progress bar with time remaining as iCloud restores your data. When this is complete, iCloud will begin to download apps. You will see a progress bar under apps that are being downloaded. If you need a specific app first, tap its icon to move it ahead in the queue. To check if the restore is finished, navigate to Settings -> iCloud -> Storage & Backup.
iTunes Match users can download albums, playlists and songs from iCloud when the restore is finished.

Have you tried this:
download.cnet.com/iPhone-Data-Recovery-for-Mac/3000-18551_4-75882825.html
Can't recommend as I haven't tried it myself, but found in a Google search.
Good luck.

If you had the backup file on your computer it might be possible using 3rd party software to extract the app data for a specific app from the backup and copy it back to the ipad (for example, see
ipadconverter-mac.com/restore-ipad-from-backup/
however this wouldn't be possible if your only backup is in iCloud. As far as I know there is no mechanism to do anything other than restore the entire backup from iCloud.

iCloud can't be stably working on restoring lost data from iPhone though it is convenient to make backup. And in worse cases, we have no iCloud backup available. So how can I get back lost iPhone data. credibly and safely? Personally, I recommend Tenorshare iPhone Data Recovery.

If you have a new iOS device, or if you need to restore your iOS device to resolve an issue, follow these steps.
1.Follow the initial steps in the iOS Setup Assistant (select your language, and so on).
2.Select Restore from iCloud Backup when the assistant asks you to set up your iPhone (or other iOS device).
3.Select the backup you created earlier.
You can restore a backup only by using the iOS Setup Assistant.
If you've already set up your device, you can erase all current content to go through the iOS Setup Assistant again. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. Do this only if you already have a backup, because this step will remove all current content from your device.

If I backup my iphone with icloud and restore my phone does it save my contacts or will I lose them?

I lost my iPhone and would like to have access to information that was backed up as well as all my recent photographs. I am fairly sure my photographs are backed up to iCloud as well as my apps etc because I noticed some photographs on my computer that I didn't manually load onto it so presume they got automatically backed up.
I just cant seem to find where I can have access to this backup to get information I need.
Any help will be appreciated as I have no other system for appointments etc.
Thanks in advance.

iPhone data recovery application which enables you to recover iPhone erased, deleted or missing files including images, videos, songs, text messages, contacts, notes and so on, as long as you have ever synced your personal data to iTunes on a computer. You are even able to preview the lost files before they are fully restored from the backup file of your iPhone. The software works without iTunes, simply download it to your computer and click to start scan. After that you’ll see all your contents on your iPhone listed right in front of your eyes. The software works for iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4G, 4S, 5.

Thank you very much.I followed the instructions and it worked for me. I have iphone4,working fine. Last week, I have noticed the message saying I cannot take photo/video etc or I have only 250mb left etc. I have saved my photos/videos in my lapttop but it still says the same thing. I plugged the phone in laptop and saw te 16GB is almost full. All i wanted was more space so that I can take photos/videos. I have lost few phone nos(probabely later updated ones) but I can live with that. I can see12.5 gb in my phone (Exluding Iclouds) and Iam very pleased.

one question
Hello
if two friends have two iphones but they share one icloud account , their backups will be different thus each one alone will have his own backup file on the icloud . My question is to restore the back up, is one of them able to restore the backup file of his friend to his iphone because it will appear in the icloud. thank you

This was a LIFESAVER!!! Did it and it worked like magic! I had unwittingly restored to a backup from 2013 and lost all my data. I went to a website where they charge for restoring, searched THIS option out and it worked; for FREE!! Thank you SO much :)
