It was another slow week for App Store releases but there were a few noteworthy announcements made and trailers released this week. The biggest App Store news was the confirmation by the Pokémon Company that the the Pokémon Trading Card Game will be released to the iPad. This marks the first time a Nintendo-owned game will be ported to iOS.
Rovio finally announced an official release date to its Angry Birds spin-off Stella. The game will be available on September 4th. Nival announced its new RPG Etherlords will hit the App Store on the same day as Stella, and trailers for The Witcher Battle Arena and Mikey Boots were also released this week. There are also quite a few ongoing sales happening right now: Hitman Go is only $1.99, all SNK games, such as The King of Fighters titles, are $0.99 and DotEmu is also throwing its own $0.99 summer sale.
Here are this week's games, apps and jailbreak tweaks released to the App Store and Cydia through 08/17/14 to 08/23/14. Apple's Free App of the Week is Atom Run. The game will be free on the Apple App Store until 08/28/14.
Star Wars: Commander: Free for the iPod touch, iPhone and iPad (Requires iOS 6.0 or later) Rated 9+This is another free-to-play Clash of Clans-type game set in the Star Wars universe. The game allows players to build bases as either the Empire or the Rebellion, and attack other players with AT-ATs, TIE Fighters and other Star Wars-themed troops. Like any build your base strategy game Star Wars: Commander features timers and in-app purchases.

The Firm: $0.99 for iPod touch, iPhone and iPad (Requires iOS 6.0 or later) Rated 4+
The Firm is a twitchy pixel game where you must quickly evaluate investments proposals to work your way to the top. The game looks like Tiny Tower but it is being compared to Rules! and Papers, Please. It is also getting okay reviews from game sites like Touch Arcade. You can check out the trailer below.
They Need To Be Fed 3: $1.99 for the iPod touch, iPhone and iPad (Requires iOS 4.3 or later) Rated 4+
The third game in the Need To Be Fed franchise features all the 360 degree platforming fun of the original games. The game features 50 levels over 7 worlds, 200+ diamonds to collect, 40 achievements and a soundtrack by Jake Almond.

- Star Trek Trexels received its largest update since it was released. Version 1.5 adds brand new content based on Star Trek: The Next Generation and a whole bunch of new features. The game is also now free.
- Football Heroes 2015 Version 1.5 adds a ton of new content including gold player cards, new defensive camera and more
- Vine Version 2.5.1 adds the ability to import videos from your camera roll
