SwipeSelection

The iOS keyboard tweak SwipeSelection is a must have for all jailbreakers and it just got better! SwipeSelection was originally released to Cydia in 2012 and it quickly became a favorite tool of the jailbreaking community. The tweak makes editing text on your iOS device easier by allowing you to use gestures on your keyboard. For example, you can move the cursor using a one finger drag, or quickly highlight and edit text by holding the shift key and dragging your finger. You'll never be able to use Apple's stock iOS keyboard again after using SwipeSelection. That's how great it is!

The original version of SwipeSelection is available for free on Cydia, and now there is a pro version available too. SwipeSelection Pro has been rewritten for iOS 7 and adds new features like the ability to adjust the swipe sensitivity, cursor speed and the ability to toggle select features. Another big feature is the ability to disable the tweak by tapping the shift key three times.

My personal favorite jailbreak tweak of 2012 was SwipeSelection, and it's compatible with the evasi0n iOS 6 jailbreak. SwipeSelection is one of those tweaks you have to use to truly appreciate. It's a simple tweak that makes texting, taking notes and writing emails on your iPhone or iPad a lot much easier.

SwipeSelection allows users to drag one or two fingers across the keyboard of an iOS device to move the typing cursor. This makes editing text much easier by eliminating the need to tap the display of your device to delete or change letters. You can use one finger for a more precise cursor drag, or two fingers to move faster across the screen. You can also easily delete or copy entire sentences by holding the shift key and dragging your finger over the text you want to highlight. There have been a lot of useful jailbreak tweaks released this year. For example, I love AssistantExtensions, which allows you to make Siri even better. However, SwipeSelection is quickly becoming my new favorite jailbreak tool.

The tweak is based on a YouTube video created by Daniel Hooper. Hooper published a concept video that demonstrated how editing text on an iPad could be easier. The jailbreaking community responded by creating SwipeSelection based on his ideas.
