Recents is a jailbreak tweak that places recent call information directly into the Notification Center. Normally iPhone owners must pull up the Phone app and tap Recents to see recent and missed calls. Recent FaceTime calls can also be viewed separately in the FaceTime app. Recents seeks to make viewing recent call information simpler and more convenient.
Once installed, Recents adds a Recents tab next to the Today and Notifications tabs directly in Notification Center. Tapping this tab reveals buttons which will show All calls or Missed calls, similar to the lists shown inside the Phone app. More information can be accessed and calls can be deleted right in the list.
The most useful part of the tweak may be the ability to return calls right from the Notification Center. Both cellular calls and FaceTime calls can be viewed and initiated in this way, even if the iPhone is locked. To allow users to test this functionality before spending $1.49 on Cydia, developer iArrays offers a 3-day free trial.
Recents is available from the BigBoss repo on Cydia for $1.49. To start customizing iOS, click here for instructions on jailbreaking iOS 8.0-8.1.2. Those with older firmware can jailbreak with Pangu (iOS 7.1) or evasi0n 7 (iOS 7.0).
