Apple removed the stock YouTube app with the release of iOS 6. The app is still available on devices running iOS 5 or older. If you upgraded your device to iOS 6, you can download the new YouTube app via the App Store when it's released.
UPDATE: The new standalone YouTube app is now available for free in the App Store.

It looks like Google Maps isn't the only Google-based app that will disappear when iOS 6 is released in the fall. Engadget readers noticed that the latest iOS 6 beta, which was sent out to developers today, removes the YouTube app from the iOS homescreen when installed.
Both Apple and Google responded to Engadget's inquiry about the app. Apple said the licensing deal it had with Google ended, but "users can still use YouTube via the Safari web app." Apple also said the app would remain on devices running iOS 5 or older, and that Google "is working" on another version.

Apple and Android users who download the new Mitt's VP app will be the first to know who the Republican nominee chooses as his running mate for the 2012 election . Beth Myers, senior advisor to Romney made the announcement on Tuesday:

MyMitt is a photo sharing app which allows you to customize photos with a variety of "Mitt-inspired artistic frames." It's also free to download from the App Store.

Apple plans to replace Google Maps with its own 3D mapping software when it releases iOS 6 this fall, but Google has beaten them to the punch by adding a new 3D view to its Google Earth app.
Verison 7.0 of Google Earth features 3D imagery for 14 regions including: Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, Geneva and Rome. Google plans to add additional 3D cities to the iOS and Android platforms in the coming weeks. Version 7.0 also allows you to explore various locations, historic landmarks and natural wonders with its new "Tour Guide" feature. The new 3D view is available for the iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and new iPad. You can download the app for free from the Apple App Store.

Twitter is about to get a whole lot better on the iPhone. The app has had a tough time keeping iOS users happy, but all of this is about to change. Details of new features coming to the upcoming 4.3 update have leaked on the redesigned iOS 6 App Store. 9to5Mac uncovered the list of improvements in the Twitter Update History.
The list shows us a glimpse into the future of Twitter on the iPhone. One of the major enhancements deals with push notifications. Not only can you receive notifications when particular people post tweets, you can also receive unobtrusive Twitter notifications while using the app. There are many more improvements and bug fixes on the way.
