One-tap access to Amazon Alexa is possible thanks to iOS widgets. The personal voice assistant is available to iPhone owners via the Amazon Alexa app. Thanks to a recent update, the app offers its own home screen widget for iOS devices.
Controlling any Alexa-paired smart appliances at home can be accomplished with the Amazon Alexa app. Just like speaking to Alexa on a device such as an Amazon Echo, the app can deliver the weather, answer questions, and create reminders.

Google has launched its first iOS widgets to assist users with mapping and navigation. Google Maps offers two different widgets as of version 5.74 released yesterday. For anyone interested in one-tap access to popular Google Maps searches, or an instant traffic snapshot of the local area, update the Google Maps app now. Once updated, the new widgets can be installed on the home screen.

Google Chrome browser has launched a companion widget for the iPhone, to make a quick search and other features easier. The official widget can be added to the home screen after the Chrome app is installed.
While Google Drive and Google Fit have had widgets for some time, Google announced that Chrome and Calendar would receive widget support during 2021. With the release of Chrome version 90.0.4430.78 for iOS, the Chrome browser widgets have arrived.
