Ecco the Dolphin

After deciding that some of the mobile titles in their catalog no longer met SEGA standards, the company released a list if games that would no longer be supported on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, the Samsung App Store and the Amazon App Store. The discontinued titles are mainly ports of Genesis games. Here's the list via Touch Arcade:

Galactic Nemesis: An old school space shooter for the iPhone

Galactic Nemesis

iOS devices have proven that not all video games have to be million dollar AAA first-person shooters to be a success. Popular titles like Candy Crush Saga and Angry Birds have refreshed old genres and turned them into huge hits on the App Store. The App Store has also given classic video games a new home and a chance to capture the attention of a whole new generation. CS54 Inc.'s new title Galactic Nemesis offers both a simplistic and nostalgic gaming experience on the iPhone. The game is a throwback to the old-school arcade space shooters that dominated arcades and local pizza parlors in the 80s, but it also offers enough depth to make it standout as a modern title.

Five Nights at Freddy's creator fights back against App Store clone

Five Nights at Freddy's Fake

Five Nights at Freddy's 4 has been officially confirmed, but not until October 2015. That's why it was odd when the game appeared on the Apple App Store five months ahead of schedule. It turns out that another developer published a fake sequel to Scott Cawthon's game without permission, and Cawthon decided to fight back.

Pixels Movie Turned Into Tower Defense Game for Mobile Devices

Bandi Namco has teamed up with Sony Pictures Entertainment to release a mobile game based on the upcoming movie Pixels. The game will be a tower defense title where players need to defend Earth from an alien invasion.

Pixels

Pixels the movie stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Peter Dinklage as the Arcaders -- a group of heroes who must stop Earth from being destroyed by retro video games characters brought to life. Pixels the game promises to offer an "innovative twist on traditional tower defense game mechanics." In the game, players take on the role of the Arcaders to stop the aliens before they destroy the world. Pixels will mark the first time PAC-MAN, Q*bert, Frogger and other classic arcade characters will be featured in the same video game at the same time.

Hearthstone Now Available on iPhone and iPod touch

As promised, Blizzard Entertainment has updated Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft with an "all-new intuitive interface" for the iPhone and iPod touch. The game has also received a few minor bug fixes and an indicator to alert you if you're losing your connection.

Hearthstone iPhone

Hearthstone is a collectible card game like Magic the Gathering. The game is free to play and promises to be easy for beginners to learn. Players can build their own collection of cards by participating in 1-on-1 battles and single player adventures. The game also features a pay-to-play Arena mode and the option to buy additional cards as in-app purchases, but spending real money is not necessary.
