SearchEnable is a new jailbreak tweak that allows you to add alternative search engines to Safari. The tweak adds Ask, Baidu, blekko, Sogu, Volunia, Yandex, Evi and WolframAplha to the Safari search engine options listed under Settings. SearchEnable basically gives you a few more international choices besides the popular U.S. options (Google, Yahoo and Bing) already included on your phone. Make sure you have the Safari app enabled under SBSettings or the Safari setting panel will not be available.

Have you ever wondered how much time you have spent perusing FlipBoard, or maybe you are worried about your Angry Birds addiction? A new jailbreak tweak called AppAnalytics can help you monitor how long you have spent using each app on your iPhone.

AppAnalytics keeps track of how many minutes or hours you have spent using an app, and how many times you have launched an app each month. This can help you see what apps are really useful, and which apps are just taking up space. The tweak works with the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It requires iOS 4 or later and supports 30 languages.

Looking for a better way to mute your iPhone? Typically the device can be silenced or put into vibrate mode with one switch. Maybe like some iPhone owners your ring/silent switch is broken. We've featured ways to get around this problem in the past, but now there's a simple, elegant solution for those with jailbroken devices.

This simple alternative to silence the device ringer or headphone volume is a tweak in Cydia called TapVolumeToMute. After the tweak is installed, there are two steps to mute the iPhone or bring the volume back to its previous level.

Sometimes you're in the middle of reading something on the iPhone and an incoming banner notification suddenly covers up the top of the screen. This can be irritating if the content is important or you're doing something else that requires more display real estate. If you're iPhone is jailbroken, now you can install CoverMeNot to improve these banner notifications.

What CoverMeNot does is simple but effective. The images above illustrate what happens when the tweak is installed and a notification banner appears. The status bar at the top of the screen is automatically made wider to match the size of the notification banner.

HiddenHelper, the new jailbreak tweak for the iPhone, allows you to use Siri without the Siri interface popping up on your Home screen. This can be helpful when you want to set your alarm or dictate a note on your iPhone while you are using the device for something else, and you don't want Siri to interrupt. For example, Siri will not interrupt your Angry Birds game by displaying the note you just dictated to her. It's a great multitasking tool.

HiddenHelper also allows you to decide which Siri snippets you want displayed, and which snippets you want disabled. Asking Siri to tell you about the weather is useless without the UI because Siri displays the temperature instead of reading it to you. Wolfram Alpha queries are also pointless without Siri displaying the results.
