iPhone Jailbreak Tweak Winterboard Now Available for iPhone 5s

Although Evasi0n opened up iOS 7 for jailbreakers, many of the tweaks are not yet compatible with devices using Apple's new 64-bit A7 chip, including the iPhone 5s, the iPad Air and the iPad Mini with Retina Display. One of the most popular jailbreak tweaks, WinterBoard, is now compatible according to creator Jay Freeman (aka Saurik, of Cydia fame).

WinterBoard for A7

WinterBoard is basically an expansion of SpringBoard that allows the user to apply themes to the iOS interface, which makes it the ultimate tool for customization. With WinterBoard you can change the appearance of your icons by loading various

How to Customize Your Lock Screen with CustomLS Jailbreak Tweak

Although there have been several jailbreak tweaks that allow you to modify your iOS 7 lock screen, developer Dylan Kelly has delivered the most comprehensive one to date. CustomLS lets you hide the various items found on the lock screen and change the "slide to unlock" text. You can download this jailbreak tweak for free from Cydia's BigBoss repository.

customLS

Once you've installed customLS, head to Settings->customLS. You'll see a bunch of toggles, so start toggling. The toggles let you hide the items on your lock screen. You can hide both the Notification Center and Control Center grabbers (the little horizontal bars at the top and bottom of the LS). You can hide the camera icon and

New iOS 7 Jailbreak Tweak Gives You a Live Weather Icon

If you have been waiting for a dynamic Weather app icon for eons and wondering why Apple has never done it, especially since they just came out with an updating Clock icon for iOS 7, your wait is over. Developer Hamza Sood, who is known for his SiriToggles package, beat Apple to it with the aptly named LiveWeatherIcon tweak. Although it is only a minor detail it is yet another layer of customization that adds depth to the overall user experience.

LiveWeatherIcon

If you are jailbroken and tired of the old, boring, static Weather app icon, you might want to give the LiveWeatherIcon tweak a try. The tweak brings life to the Weather app by animating the icon to reflect the current weather conditions - stormy weather outside translates to a stormy icon and so on. It continuously updates so it

Give Your iOS 7 Control Center More Control with Jailbreak Tweak CCQuick

As one would expect, many tweaks for the Control Center have emerged since the iOS 7 jailbreak became available. The Control Center is meant to be one of the main user interfaces and, as such, users are going to want to customize it to fit their needs appropriately. Tweaks like CCControls and FlipControlCenter allow you to customize the toggles found within the Control Center - which ones are available and how they appear. The new jailbreak tweak CCQuick adds functionality to the Control Center by letting you access different apps from the CC, letting you kill background apps, giving you access to the hidden Springboard settings and letting you customize the background color.

CCQuick

You can find the CCQuick tweak in Cydia's BigBoss repository. Once you have it installed go to Settings->CCQuick. You will now have the option to change the Control Center background color, change the default apps in the Control Center, and change the kill app settings.

Changing the background color is simple enough. Tap the "BackgroundColor" option and then switch the toggle to on. Now you can adjust the red, green, blue and alpha

Last Chance to Jailbreak, Apple Releases iOS 7.1 Beta 3

Apple released iOS 7.1 beta 3 to developers on Tuesday. According to p0sixspwn creator iH8sn0w, the new release does not break the evad3rs latest jailbreak, but an unofficial version of evasi0n7 was needed to jailbreak the new beta. You can download that version here, but remember this tool was not released or sanctioned by the evad3rs and should be used with caution.

iOS 7.1 Beta 3

It is also a safe bet that Apple will patch evasi0n7 very soon, which means this could be the last chance users have to upgrade to iOS 7 and jailbreak their phones. Users still running iOS 6 will not be able to jailbreak once Apple closes the exploit, and there is a slim chance a new jailbreak will be released for any future versions of iOS 7.
