Apple has include a host of Springboard settings in iOS 7 that are not accesible to the un-jailbroken user. The Apple App Store was still a little hungover from the holidays which made for a slow week of new app and game releases. Meanwhile the jailbreaking community was really busy creating new tweaks after the Cydia Substrate was updated for iOS 7 devices. Here's a quick look at some of the new apps, games and jailbreak tweaks released this week (12/29/13 to 01/04/14).

Jet Car Stunts 2: Free for the iPod touch, iPhone and iPad (Requires iOS 6 or later) Rated 4+

The sequel to the popular racing game that challenges you to complete outlandish tracks and impossible jumps with different jet powered cars. Highly recommended! Very challenging and fun. One of the biggest complaints against iOS 7 has been its sluggish performance due to the slow animations that occur when opening an app or a folder. Although Apple purposefully designed iOS 7 this way in order to create a more enveloping user experience, most people seem to prefer quick access without the aesthetic bells and whistles. If the animations aren't your cup of tea, you can use the new jailbreak tweak NoSlowAnimations to speed up your experience.

The NoSlowAnimations tweak, which was developed by Marco Singhof, can be found on Cydia in the BigBoss repository. Simply install the app and you should notice a significant increase in animation speed, especially while switching, launching and closing apps. It didn't take long for the first Touch ID tweak to land in the Cydia app store. Virtual Home allows you to use your Home button to access the app switcher or return to the Home screen without actually pressing down on the physical button. The tweak basically transforms your Touch ID sensor into a virtual Home button, hence the name.

Once installed, Virtual Home users can tap their Home button once to return to their Home screen, or tap and hold their Home button to open the app switcher in iOS 7. These gestures replace the need to press the Home button which gives it a much needed break from all your finger poking.

Now that Cydia and MobileSubstrate have been updated for iOS 7, developers are working hard to bring their tweaks up to speed. In the meantime, there's one detail that has been overlooked. The Cydia icon still has an iOS 6 design, which doesn't conform to other icons on the iOS 7 home screen.

Of course, if your device is jailbroken the Cydia icon (or any icon, for that matter) can be replaced. By following the steps below, you can add this finishing touch to the iOS 7 jailbreak.
